How Ragpiq Works

Ragpiq is a consignment marketplace with the full toolkit for running a resale store. Consignors send you items, you sell them anywhere, and the proceeds split per the agreed commission. This page walks the whole loop once so every other doc has somewhere to hang.

The consignment loop, step by step

  1. A consignor requests to consign. Their items land in your Requests inbox with photos and details. You accept, decline, or counter-offer.
  2. You accept and they hand the items over. Accepting issues the consignor a drop-off code. They drop off in store (or post, depending on the delivery method) and you check the items in.
  3. You list. Ragpiq's AI listing tools draft titles, descriptions, and pricing from photos. See listing an item.
  4. You sell anywhere. The Ragpiq marketplace, your connected platforms (eBay, Depop, Facebook, Shopify, Vinted), the POS with Tap to Pay at the counter, or a manual sale for anything else.
  5. The sale is recorded. Every channel produces one sale record with the commission split and a receipt. See the sales overview.
  6. You settle the payout. The consignor's share sits pending until you pay it out, pay it instantly at the counter, or settle it as store credit. See how payouts work.

Who does what?

The consignor requests, drops off, and gets paid when their items sell. They track everything from their own dashboard and can message you any time.

Your store decides what to accept, checks items in, lists, sells, and settles payouts. Commission rates are agreed per consignor during onboarding.

Ragpiq runs the marketplace, the tooling (listing AI, crosslisting, POS, labels, insights), monitors payout timeliness, and mediates if a dispute escalates.

Where does the money go?

Short version: the buyer pays, your store receives, and the consignor's share stays pending until your store settles it. There is no fixed payout schedule. The full detail, including instant payout and store credit, lives in how payouts work.
