How Payouts Work

There is no fixed payout schedule on Ragpiq. When a consigned item sells, the consignor's share of that sale sits as pending until you, the store, settle it. This page is the single source of truth for how that works.

When does a consignor get paid?

When their store settles the payout for that sale. Not on a weekly cycle, not on a set day of the month. A sale stays awaiting payout from the moment it's recorded until you action it.

How fast you settle is a store-level service standard. Ragpiq monitors payout timelines, and repeated long delays can result in suspension from the platform.

How do I settle a payout?

From the sale record. Open the sale in Sales activity, confirm the split, and submit the payout. The consignor's share is charged from your allocated card and sent to them. Sync payout covers the flow for sales synced from external marketplaces, and manual sales calculate the payout owed as you record them.

What about POS and website sales?

Sales processed through Stripe (Tap to Pay at the counter, website checkout) put the buyer's money in your store's Stripe account right away, minus Ragpiq's fee. The consignor's share of that sale still sits pending until you settle it. Automatic payment processing is not the same thing as the consignor being paid.

Your own Stripe balance settles to your bank on Stripe's normal cycle, typically 2 to 3 days.

Instant payout at the counter

When a consignor is standing in front of you, you can settle on the spot. Instant payout charges your store's card and pays the consignor immediately. It runs from the sale flow at the counter (never from chat).

Store credit instead of cash

A consignor can choose store credit for their share. The credit lands in their balance with your store and they spend it in-store through the till flow. Settling as credit closes out the pending payout the same way a cash payout does.

Checking what you owe

Your Sales activity screen filters to awaiting payout, and Piq can answer "what do I owe?" or "what's my oldest pending payout?" directly in chat on your Business home.
