A common worry for new resellers is how much back and forth a consignor expects after they accept an offer. The honest answer is: not much. Most of what happens next is automated by Ragpiq, and your hands-on work is a short list. This page maps every touchpoint so you can see exactly where you are involved and where you are not.
The touchpoint map
| Stage | What the consignor gets | Handled by |
|---|---|---|
| Offer accepted | Confirmation that you were chosen, and you receive their delivery details | Automated |
| Item on its way | Any drop-off, pickup, or shipping details sorted in chat | You and the consignor, as needed |
| Delivery confirmed | Email confirming their items arrived, within about 2 business days | You confirm, email automated |
| Items listed | Email that their items are in their virtual wardrobe, where they can review or edit details | You list, notification automated |
| Item goes live | Their item is on sale for buyers | You |
| Item sells | Payout of their commission through Stripe, typically 3 to 7 business days after the sale is confirmed | Automated |
| Anytime | Offers, messages, and updates by push notification and email, plus full transaction history in their account | Automated |
| Unsold items | Held up to 90 days with dynamic pricing, with a reclaim available on request | Automated, reclaim on request |
Where you actually do something
Out of that whole list, your manual steps are short:
- Confirm delivery when the items arrive.
- List the items and flip them to live once you are happy with them.
- Reply in chat if the consignor messages you, which is occasional rather than constant.
- Arrange a reclaim in the rare case a consignor asks for an unsold item back.
Everything else, the notifications, the wardrobe updates, the payout, and the transaction record, runs on its own.
Most contact is automated
Consignors are kept in the loop by email and in-app notifications at each step, so you are not the one sending status updates. That is by design. It keeps the relationship light for both of you.
