The Boost Fee is an optional feature that lets users promote their consigned items within your Ragpiq shop, giving them greater visibility and access to our broader marketplace of thousands of active buyers.
When a consignor boosts their items, a 10% fee is applied to their listings. This fee is deducted from their commission share only, meaning your reseller earnings remain unaffected.
How Boost Works
When a user activates Boost, their item is featured across:
- Your Ragpiq shop
- The wider Ragpiq marketplace
- Selected promotional placements (e.g., featured categories, homepage recommendations)
This creates increased exposure for the consignor’s listings while maintaining your existing commission split. Ragpiq automatically applies and calculates the Boost Fee on sale completion.
Fee Breakdown Example
Below is an example showing how the Boost Fee affects the commission structure for a $100 sale:
| Amount | |
|---|---|
| Sale Price | $100.00 |
| User Share (50%) | $50.00 |
| Reseller Share (50%) | $50.00 |
| Boost Fee (10% of user share) | -$5.00 |
| User Net After Boost Fee | $45.00 |
| Reseller Net | $50.00 (unchanged) |
Why Use Boost
- Increased exposure: Featured in Ragpiq’s public marketplace, shop feeds, and search results.
- Higher chance of sale: Boosted listings are prioritised in buyer discovery and algorithmic ranking.
- No risk for resellers: Fees are taken only from the consignor’s share.
Boost is entirely optional, giving users a flexible way to reach more buyers while maintaining transparent, consistent fee structures across the Ragpiq ecosystem.
