Square Terminal
clunk 2/10
One tap. Nothing typed twice.
The countertop Terminal, or the Handheld. Ragpiq puts the total on its screen, the customer taps, and the sale records itself with every consignor paid on the right split. Store credit and discounts ride along.
Only these two take a charge from another app:
| Takes a Ragpiq charge | Does not |
|---|---|
| Square Terminal | Square Reader, the small tap dongle |
| Square Handheld | Square Stand |
| — | Square Register |
- In Integrations, connect Square, then open the Square card's menu and choose Pair Terminal.
- On the Terminal: Sign in, then Use a device code, and type the code shown.
- At checkout, choose Point of sale, then Square Terminal if you run more than one till.
The money settles into your own Square account, with payouts and fees recorded as they are for any counter sale. If the option is missing at checkout, check the Square card in Integrations: a "Reconnect Square" note means your connection needs a quick re-approval to unlock in-store payments.
Square without a Terminal
clunk 5/10
Sell in Square. Ragpiq listens.
The Reader, the Stand and the Register are driven by the Square app, and Square gives outside apps no way in. So skip Ragpiq's checkout and ring the sale up in Square as normal: it syncs back, the consignor is paid on the right split, and the item delists everywhere it was live.
What you lose is the counter kit. No store credit, no Ragpiq discounts, and an item not yet pushed to your Square catalogue syncs nothing when it sells.
One sale, one till
Never ring the same sale through Ragpiq checkout and your Square till as well. Each one records it, so the consignor is paid twice for one item.
